Information You can use any combination of selection options to narrow your search for courses. You must choose at least one subject. CHEM 2010 - CHEMISTRY FOR LIFE SCIENCE I
Prerequisite:MATH 1100 with a grade of C or better OR GEN 1126 with a grade of C or better OR GNM 1125 with a grade of C or better OR Accuplacer score of 55 or better.
This course will provide the chemical foundation needed for students who require an understanding of a wide range of chemistry topics but do not intend to major in science. The first semester will consider general topics such as measurements, the periodic table, chemical reactions and chemical bonds, gases, solutions, and acids and bases. Introductory topics in organic chemistry are also included. Laboratory work is included in the additional meeting of this course THE PREVIOUSLY CO-REQUIRED LABORATORY MEETING HAS BEEN INTEGRATED INTO THE SCHEDULING FOR THIS COURSE..
