FRST 1103 - QUANTITATIVE REASONING |
Prerequisite: Open only to freshmen. Corequisite: FRST 1703. Quantitative Reasoning Intensive course (Q1).
This course is designed to introduce liberal arts students to a wide range of mathematical concepts and tools. Special attention is given to the value of applying a quantitative point of view to a situation. Topics may include problem solving set theory. Propositional logic, probability, statistics, and matrix algebra. Basic mathematical skills will be reinforced in the context of the above topics. Attendance in mandatory. Grade C or better is required to satisfy the College’s competency requirement.
