LANG 3256 - HISPANIC LITERATURE AND FILM
Prerequisite: LANG 3251 with a grade of C or better or equivalent. Permission of Instructor required. Formerly titled Contemporary Spanish Literature and Film.
International/Multicultural Course (I).
This is a course designed to improve students’ written and oral Spanish skills through a series of discussions of contemporary Hispanic film and literature. While introducing the student to the social and historical context in which selected films and literary works were made, the course will emphasize the following themes: Spanish Civil War, censorship, regional politics and immigration.
