The use of statistics and biomedical information will contribute to an understanding of the science of genetics and its growing role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders. The biological, psychological and social implications of genetics & genomics will be explored, including the multifactorial relationship of genes and the environment. Ethical issues will provide a foundation for professional nurses to provide comprehensive patient care. Basic principles of Nutrition will provide the focus for module two.
