Prerequisite: One of the following with a minimum grade of C-: LANG 2140, LANG 2142, LANG 2144, LANG 2200, LANG 2240. Formerly titled Spanish for Healthcare II. Offered Spring term only.
International/Multicultural Course (I).

This continuation of Spanish for Health and Human Services I is designed for those who want to learn the conversational and writing skills necessary to assist Spanish speakers with their healthcare and human service needs and concerns. This is a highly interactive course that stresses speaking, reading and writing. Focus is not only on vocabulary and structures specific to the healthcare industry, but the course also explores cultural aspects of healthcare practices in Spanish speaking countries and how those practices are similar to and different from those in the U.S.
