GSS 3204 - INCARCERATION IN AMERICAN SOCIETY
This is a historical consciousness course (H). This course will explore the birth of the penitentiary and discuss the United States reliance on incarceration throughout history. Students who take this course will learn about reasons, beyond concerns about justice, why incarceration was introduced as a punishment and then flourished. Faculty: C. Tartaro
