Information You can use any combination of selection options to narrow your search for courses. You must choose at least one subject. Multiple subjects can be selected by dragging the mouse over two or more courses, or holding the Ctrl key while clicking on desired subjects. COMM 1201 - INTRODUCTION TO MASS COMMUNICATION
Prerequisite: Open to Freshmen and Sophomores only. Not open to those with credit for GEN 1119.
This course is designed to introduce students to some of the important principles of mass communication and mass media, the role of mass media within our society and the broader cultural influence of mass media industries. Students will also gain familiarity with the specific study of Mass Communication at Stockton in particular, including an introduction to each of the three available tracks of study. Students will explore a range of perspectives from which to study Mass Communication. This is a required course for all Communication Studies majors.
