Prerequisite: BIOL 1200 and 1205 with a grade of C or better. Corequisite: BIOL 1405 The second half of a one-year sequence in general biology and the equivalent of BIOL 1100. The course is intended for biology majors and for students in other life-science disciplines. The biology of organisms. A phylogenetic survey of the taxonomic kingdoms, ideas about the origin of life, the theory of evolution, and the evidence that supports it.
