NURS 3331 - THEORY IN NURSING
This course is the foundation for subsequent courses in the RN to BSN program. The Roy Model and other nursing theories are explored. The roles of the professional nurse are presented. The nature and scope of professional nursing, health promotion, disease prevention, health restoration, end-of-life care, critical thinking, professional accountability, ethical decision-making and client education as integral parts of the nursing process are examined. Quality and Safety Education in Nursing (QSEN) concepts are emphasized.
