LITT 3615 - VICTORIAN LITERATURE |
Prerequisite: LITT 2114 and LITT 2123. 1700-1900 Course. British Literature Course. We will read significant texts of the Victorian period and consider the cultural and political climate in which they were produced, focusing on issues such as industrial labor, urban infrastructure, poverty, and crime. Possible authors include Eliot, Dickens, Rossetti, and the Brontes.
