HLTH 3122 - INTRODUCTION TO AUDIOLOGY |
This course reviews the anatomy and physiology of the hearing and balance mechanisms. Psychoacoustics of the hearing process are covered. Basic audio logic diagnostic test procedures are demonstrated using case studies of patients across the lifespan. Students interpret audiograms to determine the type and extent of hearing loss and its potential etiology.
