LANG 3251 - SPANISH CULTURE AND CIVILIZATION |
Prerequisite: LANG 3241 or equivalent. Permission of Instructor required. Arts course (A). This course traces the literary history and cultures of Spain from the earliest times to the present. Selections of major literary contributions will focus on the most critical time periods as these works relate to the most significant socio-historical events in Spain. The primary objective of this survey is to provide the student with the general cultural background needed in order to better comprehend contemporary peninsular literary production. This course may be offered in sections with a W2 designation.
